Know before booking
Read the refund before you need it.
Understand cancellation deadlines, the refundable amount and the difference between a cancelled ticket and a completed refund.
Look for an amount and a deadline
Read the cancellation terms for the exact departure before paying. Check how much comes back, the deadline for that amount, and which departure time the deadline uses. Do not assume every operator follows the same rule.
Check the whole booking
If more than one traveller is booked, find out whether individual seats can be cancelled. Review any charges and the destination of the refund before submitting the cancellation.
Cancellation and refund are different steps
A cancelled booking tells you the seat is no longer booked. A refund request tells you money has been requested back. Neither alone proves that the money has reached your account. Keep the cancellation acknowledgement and refund reference.
If a payment looks uncertain
If money was debited but you have no confirmed ticket, check the booking status and contact support with your booking and payment references. Avoid sharing card details, passwords or one-time codes. A demo booking on BusPlease takes no payment, so cancelling it does not create a refund.
