Terms of use
Last updated 12 Sep 2026
- BusPlease lists seats on buses run by independent bus operators. The operator runs the trip; BusPlease is the place you book it.
- The fare is the operator's own. BusPlease adds no booking fee.
- BusPlease is in preview. It does not take payment yet, and a preview booking is not a real ticket.
- Your ticket shows the rule that decides any refund, in rupees, before you cancel.
Who does what
BusPlease is an online marketplace. It shows the timetables, seats and fares of bus operators who run their business on BusPlease's operator software, and who have chosen to list their buses here.
When you book, your booking is made directly in that operator's own reservation system, the same system their counter uses. The operator is the provider of the bus service. They are responsible for the bus, the crew, the departure, the journey and the conduct of the trip. BusPlease is responsible for showing you accurate information from the operator and for the booking and ticket pages on this site.
The preview
BusPlease is being opened in stages. While a booking is a preview, which the ticket says in so many words:
- no payment is taken, and no card, UPI or bank details are asked for;
- the ticket is not valid for travel, and no bus will be waiting for it;
- the operator and trips may be demo data, shown so you can see how booking, tickets and live tracking work.
Please do not travel to a boarding point on the strength of a preview booking.
Fares and fees
Every fare on BusPlease is set by the operator. BusPlease does not add a booking fee, a convenience fee or a payment surcharge, and it takes no commission from the operator on the ticket. The full amount is shown before you confirm.
Booking
- Give the name of the person travelling and a mobile number you can be reached on. The operator uses them to identify you at boarding.
- Some seats can only be taken by a woman, or by a man, because of who sits next to them. They are marked, and the same seating rule the operator's counter uses decides who can book them.
- Your PNR and your mobile number together open your ticket. Keep your ticket link private: it shows your name.
Cancellations and refunds
You can cancel from your ticket until the bus leaves. The refund follows the operator's cancellation rule for that trip, which the ticket shows in rupees against real clock times before you confirm. The details are on cancellations and refunds.
Live tracking
Where a bus carries a working tracker, your ticket gives you a link that shows where the bus is. Positions come from the vehicle tracker and can be late or missing, for example in areas with no signal. When the tracker goes quiet the live page says so rather than guessing. Timings on the live page are a guide, not a promise of arrival.
Using the site fairly
Do not use BusPlease to hold seats you do not intend to travel on, to look up other people's bookings, or to copy or scrape its listings. Lookups and bookings are rate limited to protect passengers and operators.
If something goes wrong
For anything about the trip itself, such as delays, the boarding point, the bus or the crew, contact the operator using the number on your ticket. For problems with this site, see the contact page.
The name and registered address of the company that runs BusPlease, and the details of its grievance officer, will be published here before real bookings open.
Changes
These terms will change when payments open and as the service grows. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. The terms in force when you book apply to that booking.
