Questions about booking

  • What is BusPlease?

    BusPlease is where you book intercity buses from the operators who list their buses on it. The operator runs the bus and BusPlease is where you book it. It is in preview: it is not selling real tickets yet, and no payment is taken.

  • Do I need an app or an account?

    No. You search and book on the website, and you find a booking again with its PNR and the mobile number you booked with. There is no login.

  • Which cities can I search?

    The search lists only cities where a listed operator has buses. If a city is not in the list, no operator on BusPlease runs a bus from it yet.

  • Can I see which seats only a woman can book?

    Yes. A free seat next to a woman who has already booked can be booked only by a woman on that part of the route, and it is marked on the seat map. Switch on "Travelling as a woman" when you search and those seats stand out, and when a route has enough buses to filter you can show only buses with a free seat next to a woman.

Online bus ticket booking with BusPlease

BusPlease is a bus ticket booking site for intercity travel across India. Search by the city you leave from and the city you are going to, pick a date, and you see every bus on that route with its departure time, journey time, bus type, seats left and fare. Open a bus to see its seat map, choose where you board and where you get off, and book in a few steps.

How to book a bus ticket online

  1. Enter where you are leaving from, where you are going and the date of travel.
  2. Compare buses by time, fare and type, and open the one that suits you.
  3. Pick your seats or berths on the seat map and choose your boarding and drop points.
  4. Add each traveller's name and age, check the full fare and the refund rule, and confirm.

AC sleeper, seater and overnight buses

Long routes often run overnight on AC sleepers with lie-flat berths; shorter day trips are usually on seaters with reclining seats. Every result shows the bus type before you open it, and the seat map shows exactly which berths are upper, lower, by a window or next to a woman.

Track your bus and share it with family

When your bus has a tracker fitted, your ticket comes with a live link. Send it to whoever is waiting for you and they can follow the bus on a map, see the last stop it passed and when it is due. There is nothing to install and no login. Search results mark which buses can be tracked.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel from your ticket page with your PNR and the phone number you booked with. The refund you would get, worked out from the operator's cancellation rule, is shown in rupees before you book, so there are no surprises later. See cancellations and refunds for the details.
